Event Details

The Young Authors’ Festival is a half-day event focused on children in grades 3 through 5 for the purpose of helping children increase their literacy skills. Children of ALL ages are welcome.

The event is held at the Mardigian Library on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

GOALS:

1) Provide techniques and methods for encouraging and improving children’s writing and reading;

2) Work with the families as a whole to help support their children’s writing and reading;

3) Highlight Michigan authors and illustrators.

Can older or younger children attend?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome. Please note that interactive breakout sessions are designed for grades 3 through 5.
