AirTime is Helping More Michigan Children Read with Book Drive for Children’s Hospital, School Assemblies

Metro Detroit, MI – AirTime Trampoline and Game Parks are on a mission to help more Michigan children read with an innovative new community outreach program to put more books in the hands of children, and encourage reading and fitness in fun and rewarding ways.

From March 24 – March 31, AirTime Trampoline and Game Parks in Novi, Sterling Heights, Troy, Westland, and Grand Rapids will be hosting a Book Drive for Children’s Hospital of Michigan. AirTime is asking guests to help support the reading initiative by donating new children’s books for hospital patients and their families. Each guest who donates a new children’s book will receive an AirTime Water Bottle and a Buy One Jump Pass get the 2nd Jump Pass Free voucher, for a future visit.

AirTime is hoping to collect at least 500 new children’s books (100 at each of their five Michigan locations) for Children’s Hospital during the week-long book drive.

“We’re really hoping to collect a minimum of 500 books with this drive,“ said Jennifer Morrow, Quality Assurance Manager, Airtime International Franchise. “One book has the power to change a child’s life, or at the very least, give them an escape from their present reality, especially when a child is sick. When a child is hospitalized, their family is typically at the hospital around-the-clock, and that includes young siblings of the patient. These books will not only help the patients at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, it will help their families, too.”

The Book Drive for Children’s Hospital is part of an AirTime community outreach program that launched early in March for Reading Month. All month-long the Trampoline and Game Parks have been inviting Metro-Detroit students to Jump Into Their Imagination, with elementary school assemblies that encourage students to combine 20 minutes of reading with 20 minutes of exercise each day, to build healthy minds, as well as healthy bodies. The school assemblies, which combine reading, creative writing, storytelling, and dance, provide kids with reading and exercise goals which can be redeemed upon completion for a free hour of jumping fun at all Michigan AirTime Trampoline and Game Park locations.

The next Jump Into Your Imagination assembly will be at Garfield Elementary School (10218 Arthur St., Livonia, MI) at 11:00 am on March 27, 2017.
