#MotownWriters is starting a small authors promotions group. It’ll get complicated as we grow, but for now, we’re starting small and helping you to be a better writer by helping each other as well.

Here are the weekly assignments as discussed in the video:
Monday: #MondayBlog (suggested topic) Why I wrote my book or Why do I write (post on your blog to send out on monday)
Wednesday: Create a promotional graphic for your book or just your blog (if you don’t have a book). Go to Canva.com or Bookbrush.com. They’re free. Send out to Facebook, Twitter & Instagram with the hashtag #WritersWednesday and then describe how your writing makes readers feel or copy/paste a review of someone talking about your writing.
Friday: Grab an Interview or Interview someone. A Cheat is in the video, but also you can download the pdf How to grab Podcast Interviews. (click here) You don’t have to have the interview that day, but schedule out an interview for a later date and then come back and let us know.

I’ll be doing a live on the Facebook group at 9am (mark your calendars) to talk about the results. You have permission to brag. And to get ready for next weeks assignments. We’ll discuss your bio, which we will encourage you to post. (No more than 250 words and in 3rd person please) and also we’ll send out a checklist for your website and social media.
